Q. Can I create my own Custom reports in Paperless WMS?


Q:
Need to extract various information from Paperless WMS not available from the standard set of reports.
A:
Paperless WMs provides a Custom Report Writer that allows users to access various tables to extract information for reporting purposes.  
This utility allows users to create their own reports accessing data within the Paperless system. It also caters for front end user input interaction (i.e. you can create an input screen that can be used to create selection criteria for your report at run time), but does not allow tables to be joined for more complex reporting.
These reports can be saved and added to the Master Menu for future use. Users of this module should have a good knowledge of the Paperless data layouts.
  1. Access Master Menu Reports → Custom Report Creator Menu
  2. Create / Maintain Report: Select a table from the drop down menu at the field 'File'
  3. Enter Description and Report header
  4. Enter Prompt field(s) e.g. Owner or Date Range
  5. Enter Selection Field(s)
  6. Select individual report fields via the Display Params tab
  7. Nominate Sort fields
  8. Save report
  9. Add to Custom Report Menu
  10. Add to Security Entry Level group(s)
  11. Establish a new Paperless WMS session and run newly created report from the Saved Reports menu
  12. Raise a support ticket if you need further assistance or training
Note: Paperless WMS also has a Data Sampler utility to preview the formatting of various fields
